I am conducting genealogy research. What resources does the Archives have available to assist me?

Answer

We have several resources that genealogists may find useful.

  • County records on microfilm: County records may include birth, death, and marriage certificates, along with deed, probate, and survey records.
  • ArchivesSpace Collections: Our Archival collections, some of which include the papers of local historians who have conducted genealogical research on local families. Use the search bar to enter a family name.
  • DigitalCommons: Our online collection of digital content, some of which includes materials associated with local families and businesses. Use the search bar to enter a family name.

You may also e-mail archives@tamuc.edu and a member of the Archives staff will assist you.
